DMB Publishing Free Books

Can I just remind everyone that doing this sharing of free books with you  remains a very delicate subject under the current United Kingdom Copyright Laws. I am taking as much care as possible to avoid upsetting any of the Copyright owners both Authors and Publishers. So why do it ? These books are no longer printed or marketed and essentially they are going to be destroyed or go to landfil. Making a  digital copy available here should make it available for the use of future generations. Google through their Google Books Library Project are doing the same thing as me with digitizing and preserving books they make available for free on their Google Books Platform. They are constantly being taken to Court by Copyright owners but they have deep enough financial pockets not to worry about it. The local books I save may also be saved by Google but in many cases this is most unlikely since they are very much fringe publications.  

In DMB Publishing's case I always attempt to get the approval of Copyright Owners. But with many of these publishing businesses no longer trading or having been purchased by the larger publishing companies getting a response is very rare. So I take the gamble of offering it for free under the terms of the Creative Commons License initiative with the caveat that if the Copyright Owner(s) raise any objection whatsoever I will take the book down from the internet immediately. My intention is to only ever look to operate in their best interests.
